Not at all.

We tested all methods of activating the timer - by pressing a button, clicking the plunger on your injection, dialling up your dose - and realized that the risks of messing with the way you administer your insulin dose would be too high.

Instead we designed Timesulin to replace the only part of the insulin pen which has (thus far!) played a fairly minor role. The cap.

And the eight-second delay allows your Timesulin cap to know when you administered a shot, or just took off the cap to do a quick check on your insulin levels.

You keep using your insulin pens exactly as you have done in the past, just with the added knowledge that you are more unlikely to take a double dose.
